I'm curious as to what people think regarding Dell's track record of abandoning previous operating systems. Looking at the Windows support for the R1 through R4 models indicates we might see Windows 7 dropped from the R5... I'd love to hold on to 7 for at least another year or so.

Well since most windows 7 drivers work just fine with windows 8, I'm pretty sure you can always go the other way around and run windows 8 drivers under 7 right? (I'm no expert though)

Besides the OSD and AlienFX applications, I believe all other drivers should be able to work just fine with W7 since they come from their own respective manufactures and not Dell.
