Running Windows 8 RTM and have a Radeon 6800M. Every time I install the latest drivers (official ones 12.9), just the display drivers or everything my screen turns white. I cannot get out of this and have to power down and restore windows via the windows 8 restore (Shift 2 at bootup).

Anyone else having this issue? I have tried several drivers from several places, including MODs. Most don't do anything at all and my card remains disabled.

Currently running on the Intel HD card but that does not cut it with the graphics programs I use. It's just too slow.

    Any suggestions? Fixes? Anything?

Have you tried the Dell drivers and manually updating the drivers via the extracted INF files? I had to do this method for the longest time as ATi CCC would always BSOD on me, thankfully that was fixed awhile back.

Are you using the latest drivers from AMD or DELL? You need to install the OSD and install the intel one first and then do the switch to the AMD card. try it that way.

Thanks for the advice! Going to give it another go, wish me luck!

    Update:

Installed OSD, rebooted. It will not run, or at least show itself. I see it in the task list, but cannot access it.

Installed Dell drivers this time, white screen again.

Don't see any INI files to install manually.

Seriously getting frustrated now, but not giving up.

    Update again:

Not sure how I did it, but I did it. Installed manually, got white screen again of course, but used FN+HDMI key combo, switched back, had two screens, intel HD and Radeon, disabled intel HD and boom...

What a ride. Don't want to do it again!

    Thanks everyone for the help.
