We are actually supporting only Windows 7 at the moment and it would be better to go back to it. Here is an article on how to do it and the proper way to install the drivers.

Windows 8 is not on RTM yet. You will get driver issues until launch.

I have been playing around with win 8. Can't get used to that metro style.

Why don't you dual boot win7 and 8 then you get the best of both worlds.

I used both the 12.7 beta's and the special drivers that AMD released for windows 8 and they both worked fine. Did you install the dell drivers, and then install 12.7 beta over top? That's what I did and it ran great for a few months. :)
