the mother board is fine other than the fan connection for the primary card is shot. I paid 500.00 for it from a friend and had no idea that she let the warranty expire by a long shot, it would cost me almost as much as I paid for a new one year warranty or do I just break it up and sell it for parts. Everything is good except the primary fan. When I want to take the fan out, the etire connection shattered and no I wasn't hard on it, just think it was from the heat. Any advice would be appreciated.

Why not just get it repaired at a service center?

Sounds like at the most you need a new motherboard which runs ~$300.

However if everything else is fine, you can probably replace/fix/workaround the "shattered" connector for just a few bucks. If the connector is really beyond repair and there's no way you can solder leads onto the contacts, you can run the fan off another 5v source on the motherboard and throttle it with a potentiameter if you don't want it at 100% all the time.

You could take it to a service center and see if they can do that.
