I'm planning to upgrade from the cpu that came with the laptop, a i7 3820QM. I was wondering if anyone knows if the heatsink for the 3820 would work fine with the 3840. I don't plan on overclocking since I want the cpu to last longer and the damn laptop gets hot enough as is. Thanks!

They are the same CPU with the same thermal envelope and same z height, no alternative heatsink needed :)
