    Hey

Ok so ive been setting up my cgi stuff today and i can get photoshop, maya, 3ds ect all running off the nvidea, but nothing i do can get zbrush to use the discreet gpu.

Ive been through the nvidea control panel, set it to override, tried launching directly from the shortcut (incase the start menu was linking to a different exe) and no luck.

Anyone know how to force this to use the gpu? I know its not the most taxing program however it feels like a bit of a waste if its just chugging along on the intel card

Right click on application shortcut on desktop or application in program files folder. Then select graphics adaptor, nvidia rather than integrated, it should say which one is default as well.

Also go to nvidia control panel, go file -> view -> display gpu status in taskbar as well. So at least you can see which programs are using the nvidia gpu.

Ive had the task bar indicator on throughout, its how i can be deffinatly sure that its not using the gpu.

I tried the above.. still nothing. It seems as though the program itself is set on using the integrated even when launched with the discreet as its startup. Its not a major issue mainly because zbrush is more cpu than gpu intensive, but still it would be nice to get that little bit of extra grunt from the 680
