Nahhh it anit that bad.. kinda was forced to install it on my m17x r1.. hard drive crashed .. right after i mailed off my win7 software.. ugghh.. and my back up iso wasnt working... so i installed windows 8 pro with media center..

but i do need some help.. 1st IDT will not install correctly... once installed ..no audio at all.. i tried to look for a win8 IDT audio .. but every installer says no ....not right hardware..uggghh good thing windows 8 supports audio native so once i uninstall IDT ..poof i have audio back.. and suggestions?

2nd is now i have in my control panel that my coproccesser is not installed??? i know this has to do with the chip set but i cant seem to get what ever it is looking for to install correctly.. i read on dell that they say my computer will work fine with that coprocesser not installed...hmmm idk gotta find a way to get it fixed..its killin my ocd!!

and just a side note to install nvdia drivers now is a 2 step process... modified inf files and remove digital signed drivers (temp) .. but i got the drivers to install..so all is good!

I believe there is no workaround besides trying to use the Win7 drivers, if they don't work fine then you are stuck with that. the main issue is that the PC is not fully supported by us so no drivers will be released for it on Windows 8.
