    added a 320 to the middle bay in my r3. running a 256 ssd in 1. booted up and no show.

    help?

    Go to Start>Accessories>Run (if Run not previously added to Start Menu) and enter DISKMGMT.MSC to launch Disk Management. If it shows your new 320, highlight the drive, right click and select format.

    Sometimes you just have to assign a drive letter..

    Might not need to format! ;)

    can also right click on computer and select manage and disc management will be there right under storage.

    Is there a particular bay you should put your ssd in to get the best performance or will it be the same either way?

    Yeah, the SSD should always be in the Middle (Port 1) since on the AO8 BIOS it will always maintain SATA III 6GB/S, whereas Port 0 is known to fluctuate between SATA II and III

    AO9 is an epic fail because both ports only work at SATA II 3GB/S -_-
