Ok, so the other day I wanted to enhance my fx lighting scheme by customizing the lighting for some system events. long story short, command center crashed and I figured I should check for an update. Since I have not updated any drivers, software, etc. since I got my pride and joy in May I was sure there would be. I was surprised to see that nearly everything had some form of updated driver or software.

as it sits now, my current drivers / versions are

    Bios -- A04
    HD 4870 -- 8.680.2.0
Chipset -- 9.1.1.1013 <--(this is anything under system devices starting with Intel(R) correct?)
turbo boot -- (can not find this one)
    free-fall sensor -- 1.8.3.0 (ST Micro Accelerometer)
    LAN -- 11.0.41.250
    DW1520 WLAN -- 5.60.48.18
wireless 370 bluetooth -- 6.2.0.9000 (which i have yet to use  )
    touchpad -- 14.0.12.0
    IDT HDAudio CODEC -- 6.10.0.6259
Alienware Command Center -- 2.0.14.0 (according to ComandCenter.exe)
    OSD -- 1.0.0.0 (didn't have a version, but the launcher said 1.0.0.0)

from what research I have done, the appropriate updated from dell would be

    Bios -- A09
    HD 4870 --- 8.763-100810a-104118C
Intel Ibex Peak PCH Chipset -- 9.1.1.1015
Intel Turbo Boost Technology Driver -- 1.1.1.1007
ST Microelectronics DE351DL Free Fall Sensor -- 1.06.08.33
    LAN Network Devie -- 11.5.10.0
Dell Wireless WLAN 1520 Half MiniCard -- 5.60.48.35
    Dell Wireless 370 Bluetooth Minicard -- 6.2.0.9603
    Synaptics Synaptics TouchPad -- 15.0.15.0
    IDT 92HD73C1 Audio -- 6.10.0.6261
    Alienware Command Center -- 2.5.54.0
    Alienware OSD Application -- 1.13

my question is if there is any recommended order for these updates, and if there is anything I have missed, either an update sequence I would need to do or any thing that I have not noticed an update for. I have only looked extensively into the graphics driver update and bios update, as these were the first to concern me. I do know there is an update for the IR receiver, however I disabled it due to incompatibility with fallout 3, so I'm not updating that.

if you read this far, thank you I would greatly appreciate any feed back, also my system specs:
    M17x-R2 Space Black | i7-720QM | 6GB-1066MHz DDR3 RAM | ATI Mobility Radeon HD4870 CrossFireX | 1920x1200 RGB LED | 1TB Raid0 7.200rpm HDD | Bluetooth 370 | Windows 7 Home Premium

Pretty sure this drive "Intel Turbo Boost Technology Driver" does not apply to your CPU and won't install.

I think it only applies to CPUs with built in integrated graphics card like the I5

alright, i was a bit unsure about that one, i thought it might either add controllable overclocking for non-extreme processors or be an update for the i-series 'smart' turbo boost.

    anything else?
