That is a patch to relocate AlienRespawn after UPGRADING from the original Windows Vista to Windows 7. It will not work with a fresh Windows install.
The only way to get AlienRespawn back is use some softwares that can set the OEM partition to active. Then you boot from that partition and do the complete respawn process.

Maybe there is a problem with your HDD(s). I got RAID0 on my replacement laptop, when it started up, it took super long time (the alien's eyes were always on); so I decided to do a complete respawn and it also got stuck (I even left the laptop for 5 hours). Then, I discovered that 1 HDD was dying.

can someone explain how to boot the partition of the aw respawn without respawn? I tested with acronis disc director but I think that putting the restore partition as active, gives me error when installing ..
exists another way / any sugestion?

and now I have the w7 laptop with no problems, but in device manager unknown devices appear after installing the drivers from dell, but I want to load the original backup wvista and from there upgrade to w7 since so not sure give problems.

the other way, it's possible modify the MBR? if it's possible, how can i do? anybody with the mbr well send me his settings?

    thanks
