i have the alienware 17 with the r9 m290x, for some reason if i try to use the hdmi input for anything(ps3,ps4,xbox 360,xbox one, etc.) the screen is primer grey, can still hear sounds of xmb, xbox dashboard, etc.. hdmi output works fine, ive tried uninstalling drivers and reinstalling, and everything i know of. called dell and they couldnt help. any ideas on how to fix this??? or what it could be. ran hardware test and everything was fine, tested ps3,ps4,xbox 360,xbox one,blu ray playerwith my old hdmi cables, and a brand new hdmi cable to no avail...

Have you tried using the DELL video drivers. ? Some devices won't work on the HDMI-In.

I'll escalate the issue internally. Thanks for the feedback. Once we have something we'll either create a new thread or post on our main Social Media channels.
