hi all, ive got an alienware m17 r3 Intel Core i7-2760QM (2.4GHz, 6MB Cache), 8GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM , 1.5GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M, i only have the 60 hertz screen, i wanna look at upgrading this too 3d, as i already have a nvidia 560m, wat else do i have to change, i already have nvidia glasses but no ir emitter, so do i change the screen for a 120hz, add a ir emitter, and add some dirvers, or are there more components i require, also there have been talks that the connectors on the 2 screens are different, anyway to overcome this, i love my laptop and dont want to change to a different one and am curious of how to achieve this upgrade, any input would be great,

    thanks in advance,

An easier way to get 3d is buying a pair of anaglyph glasses and install the IZ3D driver, that will allow you to render games in 3d anaglyph mode. This will result in a loss of colours of course, but I get less of a headache from it compared to using stereoscopic 3d.

You need to get yourself a 3D display, I have a spare transmitter you could buy. And you also need a eDP cable because your current display is using LVDS. Remember you also lose out on switchable graphics so your battery life will be cut in half at best.
