    Hi there i am starting to build my own m17x laptop just wondered what motherboard to use or is there only one that i have to use thanks :) :)

    Which revision are you building? R1 or R2?

    You would be better off getting one from the outlet.

    I found this which I think is the R1 mobo, best bet is to call or chat with dell parts to find the part number for the items you need just pretend like you want to buy them and ask them to email you a quote.

    You will be better off ordering it used or as an outlet item, the parts cost goes above what the unit is worth.

    He knows that, but apparently already started gathering parts for the R1. I even linked him to the outlet on page 1.
