    hi all

i'm running a alienware m17x r2 with a bigfoot 1103 on windows 8 and am having a hard time having the WiFi card connect for very long and every 2 - 3 mins it just stops sending packets, it will recieve them but not send :( it was working perfectly before i upgraded to windows 8 and have re installed windows 8 from fresh a few time and no luck, i have all the latest drivers etc but not luck

any ideas what is causing this ? also do anyone have an generic atheros drivers that would work on 1103 as that might be a shot or any 6 month old 1103 win 7 64 drivers as i know this card was deffiently working perfectly on win 7

    Thanks

Same issue, just remove the killer network manager from add or remove programs, the stock windows drivers have cured my connectivity issues.

I think there built in, i removed the software, restarted and its still keeps the wireless so I guess they are already there. Had 1 dropout so far, a lot less common, especially since it would happen mainly when the computer has been in sleep mode. Never used that killer network manager anyways. 'Qualcomm Atheros Osprey Wireless Network Adapter' is the device name, driver is provided by microsoft. it shouldnt break your internet when you install should automatically use the windows drivers.
