hi west, what happens if you put your old ram in, is everything ok?

You can check the integrity of the new sticks by running memtest86. If the sticks are bad, you will know right away.

Also, does the R2 support 8 gig sticks?

West, Try one stick in a slot and see if that works. Then try that stick in the second slot. See if it boots. Then try the second RAM stick in both slots as well.

That may help rull out a bad ram slot or ram stick. Also go into the bios, and see if your RAM voltage is at default 1.5v If it is try upping it to 1.6v. If it's not at default, try turning it to default.

My specs are m 620 CPU, ssd and a 500gb hdd and an ati gfx card, have tried the ram in all diff slots etc no luck, am using the a10 mod bios, just reflashed it to see if that caused it but no luck the ram is cmso16x3m2a1333c9 ram just like in your thread will try increasing voltage now

With 2 sticks in and voltage at 1.6 it just gives me a series of beeps at boot now

The max validated RAM for that machine is 8Gb anything above that would likely cause issues.
