    So when you want to turn off alienware effects for battery life you click on the icon and click go dark right ? For some reason my media bar and track pad still stay illuminated. Any idea how to get those to turn off too ?

    You can't.

    You can turn off the trackpad through Alienware command centre separately I'm pretty sure but you can't turn off the media bar. The battery effect would be 1-2 minutes at most, it barely uses anything.

    Not true.

    To turn off ALL lights:

    Right click the alienFX icon and uncheck "Keep status zones on during go dark" and then click "Go dark"

    This will turn all lights off.
