Your computer is AW17 R1 aka (M17x R5).
Apply your desired speed.

Ok perhaps I wasnt clear enough. Im not an idiot I know how to use the app but the thing i cannot control the gpu fan onlu the cpu fan as an example I change the fan manually to 5000 but then I can only hear and feel cpu fan spinning the other fan does not do anything.. only when I play overwatch and the laptop gets to 75c then I can feel the fan spinning a little

you have to disable EC support! jeez.
-
could you please tell me how ?
-
go into hwinfo64 settings, then click the safety tab and uncheck EC Support and click ok. EC is what's causing it.

Great Thanks !! but one more question why is the gpu fan max rpm is 3400 isnt that a little bit low ?
-
CPU is 0 2000 3400
GPU is 0 3400 4600
IIRC so that's how it is. -
ok and i have ordered a new fan does that mean i wont have to use it now ? and one more question why did my laptop just shut down after 5mins of using the app ?
-
you can't just order any fans as there are some specific fans that will fit in the fan bays. some come from the m14x and older m17x laptops.
i don't know why it does that it never happened to me. i can't be sure since i am no longer in possession of one.
anyone know how to use HWinfo64 on this laptop ?
