There was a thread a few weeks back. Apparently, the R3 held up pretty well. I think people where running it on high everything with low AA and AF.

Although, i read somewhere else, or it may have been here, that there isnt a production comp about at the moment that can run it on ultra everything. Not sure if thats BS or not. Sounds like it.

i played it on my R1 with a q9000 at 2.4ghz and a 260m stock. it ran decent for me at high detail. i got around 25 to 30 frames average. never much lower, sometimes higher. tv shows at 29.9 frames in america and 24 or 5 in other countries so really thats fine.

I had it. My settings are at the bottom. I ran everything maxed out and framerate was 35-50fps. Fun game and great graphics. no OCing.

with it being an alpha means its not fully optimised n finished yet so performance can only go up from here if all things go right.

an r3 with a 6970 shouldnt have any issues running bf3 what so ever

the 560gtx will still be able to play aswell although prolly not all max if u want to keep a stable playable framerate.

the beta should be out this month so u can try that, i will ^^

I believe the GTX 460 will run the game, just don't expect max settings. I ran the Witcher 2 on some higher settings and got 40fps. Its gonna take some time and experimentation to see what works the best. Once the beta comes out ill let u know how it goes :)

560 isnt that much faster as the 460 i believe.

both will run the game just like tony said dont expect alot of shiney stuff out of it.

main difference to bf3 and bfbc2 is that bf3 is actualy designed for the pc where bfbc2 was just a cheap port to the pc to make some extra money.

i do hope its well optimised so your 460 can run it decently aswell but asfar 3d goes well im pretty sure u wont get the fps to run that decently.

    time will tell

What do you guys think about the dual 5870s with dx 11, MAX settings on 1200p?

Will I get avg frame of 30 at least???

30 fps should be easely doable, although the standard for games is atleast 60 fps tho. wich will be tricky on max settings.

i do mostly turn off the bloom and stuff as it just annoys me wich has a bonus it saves some performance too :p

true, whatever the user is fine with is what he thinks is ok.

although i cant play anything properly with less then 80odd fps tho lol but i only play competively.

    Same.

And it's ridiculous how fast technology moves... My 460m is feeling quite slow..

i waited till the 6990m came out but yeh even that will be outdated fairly quickly, although i knew before hand that the 460 is a fairly slowish card when the r3 released so was gonna wait since the r3 is a single gpu card.

prolly not too long from now ati will release the 7xxx series and make this card shake in its boots lol lol

doesnt matter how much money u spend it will still get outdated rapidly :p
