Very nice, the last post but ive ordered a other one and wanted to reply on this thread.

The deepcool N8 Ultra, not much to find about but the design attracts me and I think it's a very good one for the M17X.
I am gonna compare this one with my U3 when it arrives.

Got a free NC11 from newegg because it was free... looks cheap and junky no idea why they charge so much normally... I'll try it out later and see how it works.

First impressions after opening it up are that it feels cheap and the plastic has sharp edges so not comfortable to carry or have on a lap. Design wise it's clearly modeled after the Asus G series but shape wise it matches the Alienware better due to the triangular front whereas the G series has a flat front. There are no handles, and no compartment to carry the USB power cable in. Both of which my Massive 23 have and it also doesn't feel so cheap and has no sharp edges.

Further update, the NC11 is junk... it's too large and awkwardly shaped so it sticks out on all sides of the laptop and the portion that sticks out is all the cheap sharp edged plastic around the outside. It's louder than my Massive 23 despite the advertised decibel for each being the same the NC11 is as loud on it's lowest setting and noticeable louder on it's highest. The payoff for the additional noise is that it pushes less air. I'm unable to find a CFM rating for the NC11 but honestly even if it was rated higher CFM it would be a false rating simply because the fan inside clearly has the capability to push more air but the grill over the top of it does not allow enough air through it so there is very noticeable backflow blowing out the bottom of the cooler. I already suggested the Massive23 over other more expensive coolers I've used but since it's so similar to the NC11 figured it would be worth seeing how they compared directly since the NC11 was free and the Massive 23 costs about $20.

    NC11
Pros: If you can get one for free it's worth buying.
Cons: Poor workmanship, sharp edges, too big and sticks out around all sides of 17" laptops so good luck putting it in a bag. Despite it's size it doesn't even have a compartment for the power cable or a 4 port usb hub or anything extra at all. Poor design pushes as much air back out the bottom as it does out the top. Comparatively loud despite same listed decibel rating.

    Update on the nc2000nt.

This cooler is really good. I can lay down with it easily and put it on my lap perfectly. It is quiet even on the highest setting it isn't that loud. The quality is nice, the aluminum is nice. It keeps my laptop at around 60C during WOW raids. Haven't tried it with BF 3 yet.

And it fits easily in my bag because it is so thin.

Point of curiosity... The NC2000NT has a solid aluminum plate covering the area the alienware intakes are, how is it blowing any air at all into the alienware to assist in cooling more than just having it sitting on an aluminum plate would?
