    When I first recieved my computer it had a working cam but after doing a system restore with the spawn software the cam no longer works. Anybody think they could give me a hand please?

    did you reinstall the Dell Webcam driver? It should be found on your driver disk

    If you have installed the webcam software, have you tried turning the camera on? FN+F9 should turn it on.

    There should not be needed any external drivers besides the one that Windows 7 includes to make the cam work.

    To see if your webcam is detected, go to "Device Manager". See if it reports an Webcam under "Imaging Devices".
    If so, right click it and see if you can click "Enable". (it might be disabled.)

    If it is not detected there, then it seems like there is an wiring problem..

    No Image device is detected in device manager. So I guess that rules out a driver problem :(. Thanks for the replies everyone.
