Just called my rep and she was not around so they got me connected to a member of his team. I asked him if he can expedite the shipment of my order and he categorically said "NO." He explained that they can only make changes if the order is within two hours. After that, they cannot cancel or make changes to shipping method of your order.

Is this true? Is there anyone here who happened to change their shipping to NBD while your order is in production phase.

Am sure cancellation is possible even if the order is in production. They allowed me to cancel my previous order while it was still in production when I told them am just gonna upgrade some specs.

Tell him you want to upgrade specs. Then when he has magically re-opened the order, tell him he must have mis-heard and you wish to have it expedited :p

Tell them you need it soon for work as your have work that needs to be done asap and can't afford much down time. If he says no then tell him you want to cancel and go with Sager or Clevo as they said they would ship quicker. If it doesn't get you NBD, it may get you some money back, like $50 which is better than nothing. ;)

Mine shipped from TN and was delivered in 1 day to FL even though I picked std free shipping. It also shipped 4 days early so you might get lucky. Now I just need to get home to unbox it!

    Cheers,

I asked for NBD about a week after I ordered it and he gave it to me...

I think the rep is either lying, or ignorant.

If you've dealt with Dell/Alienware before you know how it works. Different reps are...different. If you can't get what you want from one, try another. Eventually you get one who will give NBD.

Why would a sales rep expedite the order, if you called back into the queue all you have done is pissed that sales rep off as you will have lowered his close rate.

Customer care is your friend here.

It will likely be faster. Those of us that ordered 7/26 and 7/27 already have them or its been mailed. Mine shipped last night (7/27)and the EDD dropped from 8/11 to 8/4. Fedex says 8/3.

I am in Las Vegas, NV. Mine gets delivered today even though it shipped yesterday. It is coming from CA, so 1 day is the normal times

Mine arrived the day after it shipped with regular 7 day shipping. Actually both of them did. I ordered a 2630 and a 2720, they had delivery day 4 days apart but they both came on the same day. Also both systems were flawless as far as I can tell. I sold the 2630 system to family member.

Mine got magically upgraded to NBD shipping... I guess all our shipping speeds depend on our luck...
