plugged in the charger while pc was booting , and it was telling me about the charger not being powerful enough to charge the laptop, after a reset it acknowledges the charger, but im still not sure if its charging or not. What could be causing this issue? Got an r3 for reference

It could be the power supply is going bad or the power port is damaged. Try removing the battery and just using the the power supply. If it dosn't run with out the battery you'll have determine if its the power supply or the port.

do you see the little battery icon near your clock? If its charging, you should see something that looks like a plug icon on top of the battery. If you mouse over, it should say where it is at. Mine says "Fully Charged 100%"
