Dreaded bios brick from trying to OC in bios, find extremely frustrating the way you have to reset it. Anyways, getting to to the battery is a PAIN! Im not sure if i bent the pins, seems like I cant get the battery to stay down in the socket, it pops up. Wondering if the right side pins in the pic are socket.jpg supposed to be like that.

Whaaat ? You replace the mobo for that ? Just use a piece of paper between the battery and the plastic thing to keep it in place.

CMOS battery slot should have a piece of plastic on one side and metal on another, which acts like a spring. Metal pushes the battery on the side and plastic keeps it from popping up. Metal keeps it on another side with the small clips. This is an example of how it should look like and work: plastic on lhs and metal on rhs. To remove the battery, one would push on the metal. To install the battery, one would align the battery under the plastic and push it down until the metal clips in and holds it in place. If the battery is not removed properly, plastic bits might be broken and battery will not stay in. Please note most slots work the same, but might look slightly different. There are also different type of CMOS batteries, which do not require this type of slot.
