For like 4-5 months I am trying to get a i7 4930mx for my i7 4700mq and I quit trying too low price on my 4700mq, today I enabled the turboboost , it was disabled because of the huge temp diffrence, so I made a picture, without turboboost my cpu stays aroud 60-65 max in cs go...look what happed :(
I will repaste it, but I dont think it will be lower, my fans wasnt so loud iven at 98 degrees...so dissapointed that I have to stay with this 4700mq... I will repaste it, the fans are supper clean I check them...

Maybe the heatsink isn't properly attached or the fan is just faulty?

Do you have warranty? If the heatsink is properly attached, and you have done a good job repasting the gpu, then it might be a problem with the CPU Fan.

You shouldn't have to disable turbo boost. I was asking, is the cpu fan operating fine? Does it feel normal to you?

Can you manually control it with the small button next to reset values, and put it to 100%, see if it makes a difference?

You could try setting custom Auto fan levels, for the cpu temp to make sure it runs cool. Although if you haven't touched this setting, then It must be either a faulty cpu fan, or that the heatsink has come loose somehow.

It seems to me that turbo boost once enabled is always boosting I would look see if speedstep is enabled and look at you power settings

Have you cleaned the laptop properly? By removing the fans/heatsink and cleaning between the radiator looking thing? It gathers so much dust.

Yeah i remove the cpu now that doesnt starts at all and is verry clean...the thermal paste it s there...I just hope I can fix it and I will not bother to make it work properly...just work iven at 2.4ghz...at 3.4 it s such a big diffrence in performance in cs go I have over 40fps more.
    1. Fans and heatsink clean
    2. Thermal paste ok
    3. Power managemnt set to performance
    4. Power supply 240w
    5. Heatsink looks good it's not bend...the screws of the heatsink all work correctly
    6. I have to go to curch more often :(

You need to repaste... That's the only reason for your issues.. If you have warranty, have Dell come and do it otherwise, do it on your own using a proper paste like Arctic Cooling MX-4 or ICD7..

This is true, a repaste should do the trick. You could also try using a cooling pad, but repasting should be enough.

There is a big difference between processors. Some manage a much lower voltage, while others can not adjust down any things before you get no post. There is a large variation in Haswell processors compared to previous i7 processors. Sadly. I even have to have a voltage on 1.217mv ([email protected]) for it to be stable. Standard 1.200mv is just getting a little to overclock at 4.2ghz.
