I asked an Dell guy on the chat, do a few reasearch, ask a resseller who ask is dell representative and they all told me the m17x r3 is only sata II
EDIT: found this http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienware-m17x/561463-m17xr3-support-sata-3-a-3.html
on the forum, look like only one bay is sata III -

look like they are having an issue with the sata III but officially, it's sata III but maybe it won't be recognized as sata III, personnaly I didn't take that risk after dell told me the m17x r3 don't, but if it's only 1 ssd, you will probably be ok but for raid0 I would reccommand to be carrefull...
-
its kinnda weird but yeah im gonna buy only 1 ssd i will not take a risk on doin 2 ssd on raid

The Revelator Notebook Prophet
That may be prudent. I've never really seen the need for multiple SSD's in Raid 0 in a notebook, particularly when you have a Sata III SSD, but to each his own. Good luck and enjoy your new R3.

crucial m4 vs intel 510
