    hey boys and girls. I'm new, first post! I'm not a little curious really, I've ordered an m17x and I've got an EDD of the 26th of November. iI bought it with theoption of windows 7, but since it's going to take another 4 weeks to come, would that mean it'll come with windows 8 or not?

    how is everyone finding windows 8 anyway? I assumed it was really for tablets and not for a desktop/laptop?

    I got my copy of W8 Pro x64 yesterday and its working perfectly on my R3 along with games as well.

    Apparently Windows 8 has some fantastic improvements, disregarding the Metro UI of course... Which you can forget about completely just install Stardock Start8.

    I hear Windows 8 is great, nice improvements from Windows 7 but still pretty much the same. Should work fine, and if anything isn't... by the end of November there will definitely be software updates, lots of fixes, and drivers :)

    And yes, you will get it with Windows 8 I'm pretty sure. Mine should be arriving within 2 weeks, and that's after it got delayed because they're shipping them with Windows 8 and the new line of Ivy Bridge :)

    If you chose the Windows 7 option, is probably going to arrive with the OS you requested. But you can easily request an upgrade in this link www.windowsupgradeoffer.com. Find more info about Windows 8 support here.
