I just bought a delta charger on amazon
Amazon.com: NEW PA-9E Alienware M17x DELL Delta Made Original/Genuine/OEM Alienware Slim-Line Laptop AC DC Adapter Charger : DELL P/N: PA-9E PA9E FAMILY 240w 240watt 240 watt 19.5V 12.3A Laptop Notebook Mobile Workstation Computer Ultra Extra Slimmer
and when I received it, it was a flextronic, I wasnt very happy about it, so I contacted the buyer. He informed me that they do not make delta made chargers any more. I did a lot of research and a lot of people prefer delta over flextronics (due to faulty making). Is this true or is he making me keep something I dont want?

So expensive. My work's Vostro 3400 has a "flextronic" charger, which is the usual smaller brick. It's not slim or sexy at all.

I would call Dell and ask them if they have stopped producing the Delta version. I and many others have experienced problems with the Flextronics version of the 240w psu (battery not charging/not plugged in)

I can only say from my own personal experience BUT I was getting these error messages when I was using various psu's from Flextronics.

As soon as I started using a Delta psu (I aksed Dell to specifically replace mine and to NOT give me a Flextronics) I have had no further experience of these messages.

Get the info from Dell, dont take the seller's word for it - if your unhappy with it, return it as "item not as described" because he is selling one thing and giving you something else.....not what you thought you were buying!
