    disable hyperthreading alienware m17xr3?

    Hi, I want to disable it to test Need for speed the run without it but I dont know how to do it.

    ok,thanks. I try with CPU turbo mode, and 2 options more in bios, but the game still going bad. I read I have to turn off hyperthreading, but I cant find it.

    Where did you read that? Also, have you tried setting processor affinity for the application?

    processor affinity? i dont know what is this jeje.

    I read in an spanish forum of this game and other games, and you need to turn off HT because if you dont, the game dont run fine

    Open the game, Alt+Tab out of it, press Ctrl+Shift+Esc and go to processes and select the NFS The Run application and right click it and click Set Affinity.
    Untick all but one CPU and try check if the game plays differently.

    i try and nothing. If I only put one cpu the game only runs 3 o 4 fps XD.
    I try with 2, 3, 4, and 8 and nothing. The problem continues. I set full priority and nothing.

    I think i will stop playing this

    Nobody have to buy this game. Need for speed the run. Only 30fps and dont work good with i7

    Do you mean 'zero' to 7 which ends up as 8 virtual cores?

    I am sure we are getting a bit off topic but it should look like this when you Set Affinity in task manager with a quad core chip which supports HT.

    You need the unlocked version of BIOS A08 to expose the option to disable HT. Go to the new Power menu, select Additional CPU Control and disable HT Support.

    for your information, if you disable hyper threading with the unlocked bios, the game will go perfectly.

    Playing BF3, and suffering the dreaded microstuter. I have read that if i Disable hyperthreading, it fices the issuer, yet the Bios Does not have such feature. Any help would be appreciated.
