Does anybody know how to the disable the edge swipe to open the charms bar?
    It's quite annoying.

Had tried to completely disable the charms bar via start8 but even though the corner didn't work anymore the swipe still opened it.
Will try this method when i get home.

    Thanks!

    First open regedit:
    next open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTPEnh\PlugInConfig\Defaults\CustomZones
next - make a backup of this key :HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTPEnh\PlugInConfig\Defaults\CustomZones

    next delete it sub-keys : CustomZone113KeyMacroBin
if you are not there that ( CustomZone113KeyMacroBin ) all sub-keys, then delete it.

    and close regedit.

Tested Win8.1 using Synaptics Touchpad Driver 17.0.8.2, A00

It's great to hear that it worked with that workaround.I'll save it for future reference.
