I've had my m17x since they've first came out, had preordered mine. My warranty has ran out, and I hadn't really used the optical drive. Now, I am going to try and install something and the disc wont even fit into the optical drive, nor do any others cd's I have... My warranty has ran out, can I do anything?

I am not sure what you mean? How big/small are these discs?

They are regular sized cd's, dvd's anything will not fit into the optical drive. They are all to big, and wont fit inside... I have no idea why this is, because before my world of warcraft cd's would fit but now they dont...

are you sure there's nothing in the drive that might be jammed? Possibility of another disc in the drive? The slot is thicker than a CD/DVD, the gap not likely to shrink enough to block discs...

yeah i know, and no there is not. If I could take a picture you would be able to see, but when I try to insert a disc they are just a bit too big and the edges of the cd's wont go into the optical drive.

hmmm usually that means there is something in there, but maybe that pic might help out. If you can post one that is? It is all your cds? not a single one fits? I doubt that the slot shrunk maybe your CD's expanded? IDK this is very odd.

this actually happened to me as well when i got mine. What i had to do what press the eject button a few times (even thought it was empty) and my disc slid right inside. Hope this helps.
