    i want to asked should we have to register the alienware m17x system ??
    i mean, whats the benefits to register our system at dell...
    isnt that our warranty have already register...???

    and i bought the alienware m17x with my dad's name...
    can i register the system with my name ...??
    although my dad's name is the one who order the laptop...??

    You should put your service tag into the system, that way you get ur up dates and keep track of drivers. Would it matter if you reg under you Dad's name?
    I would just call Dell and explain you want to reg it under your name it was a gift form a great Dad. :eek: Sure they hear it a lot.

    You can just transfer the warranty/ownership to your name here. Most that I've seen done take anywhere from 1-2 days, some can take as long as 10 days but it transfers it to you either way. Cheers!

    Thanks! Yup, works for any Dell/AW computer. They ocasionally call the current owner to verify the transfer is legit but not always.

    well...DELL doesnt call me to register my system...
    so i will registered it later...
    and i have tried to call DELL...
    but they seems to busy...
    so i guess i'll try the internet service to transfer the warranty/ownership...
