dvd drive error help!

well i was installing a legit copy of gta:episodes of liberty city. i put in the second dvd disc in (have yet to ever have a problem with this dvd drive in the past) and it installed the rest of the way. then a little window pops up asking for the 1st dvd again, and the eject touch button doesnt respond no matter how i press it.

i go to my computer and do it manually (right clicking the dvd drive icon- eject) and it error screens. it seems to think that there isnt a dvd in there despite the quiet clunks i hear every so often. already tried restart once but no change to the problem, and i was pressing eject the whole shutdown and startup. i hate the idea of waiting on a technician any advice to get it out without destroying the disc?

my m17x is about 5 months old. the dvd drive is the basic model can dredge up the proper model if you need it badly. can burn and rip normal dvds at max speeds.

 

try the power drain maybe and then enter bios and press the eject button from there.

Power drain :

Turn off
Disconnect power adapter and battery
Press the power alienhead button for 30 seconds
Reconnect battery and power adapter
