im major problem with my laptop, I upgraded to latest Nvidia beta driver after it kept crashing on 296.10. I used driver sweeper and cc cleaner to tidy up the loose ends. Now my laptop has two errors, one is that there is no sound (tried to make speaker/microphone default but didn't work) the other is that even though I have internet access the logo for wifi in the bottom right next to the speaker has a big red X across it (I highlight it and it shows I'm connected).
I tried to enable and disable the IDT driver in sound setting but it says its already enabled.
I tried to enable audio in services.msc but they were already on automatic and said "started".
I have even gone into bios and it also says Enabled under the option for HD audio.
When I troubleshoot the sound it comes back saying audio devices are disabled. Also when I try to adjust volume control it says no devices are installed.
Something very freaky is going on here and nothing in other forums seems to be able to fix it.
    Anyone else had this?
