All right, I know I have posted this already, but if someone could just sum it up for me as it is potentially a lot of money going in.

I ordered a laptop with basic warranty (m17x-r3) and been using it for a week or two. But when I checked the prices of extending the warranty they were just much higher than when purchasing, so somebody here suggested that I call dell and tell them to extend it for the basic price since im still in the 21 days return policy.
Well I called dell today and they said that its not possible.

IMPORTANT - I will be comming back to Czech Republic after a year in USA so I need the warranty to be international.

I asked the rep to call me back monday so I have some time to decide and would appreciate your insight!

This is what Im left with (according to him):

    1year extension: $275 + $50 discount + $50 gift card

    2year extension: $470 + $75 discount + $50 gift card

    3year extension: $660 + $75 discount + $50 gift card

    4year extension: $793 + $75 discount + $50 gift card

thats obviously for basic care :/ The only other option is to call somebody else (but I dont know who since he said that he spoke with his supervisor and got that $50 discount) or send it back, with him saying that it will cost me %15 restocking fee ($250) + the system Ill receive will be much more expensive since he said it was some sort of special offer and they cant match the price .

I would really like to keep this system as outlet doesnt have anything now, and I think I got a great deal

    Here are my specs:

Intel Core i7-2720QM processor (2.20 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 up to 3.30 GHz)
320 GB SATA Hard Drive (7200 RPM)
    4 GB DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz (2 DIMMs)
    2GB GDDR5 AMD Radeon HD 6990M
    Killer Wireless-N 1103 a/g/n 3x3 MIMO
    17.3 inch Wide FHD (1920 x 1080 60Hz) WLED Display
    9 Cell Battery

    Product Subtotal: $1,519.00
    Shipping and Handling: $0.00
    Tax: $106.31
    Product Total: $1,625.31

So what would be the best way to go about getting international warranty for the best price? Should I go with this $75+$50 deal or wait for dell to offer some discount? If so, do I need to sign up somewhere particular to get those kind of warranty offers and how much can they be?

    Thank you!

As was stated in your first post. They will send you a offer to your address on file with a offer for warranty a few months from now. If you are worried or do not want to do what others have advised buy the warranty offer you have posted. There is no magic here to figure this out for you. You have to decide what your comfort level is and act on it. ;)

I see, part of my question was if anybody here knew, how much discount do they usually give on these offers

I don't understand why they charge so much to extend compared to when you purchase the laptop. 4 years for 399 is reasonable, 4 years for $800 is not reasonable at all.
