are you using the dell driver or 10.6? if its 10.6 then stop and install dell driver, if its dell Driver then. disable crossfire. Uninstall the driver once again, reinstall and re enable crossfire. Also make sure your using the latest version of GPUZ. older version go crazy trying to figure out the 5870's

You can try to do a clean install of windows but it seems like an awful lot of work to fix the problem. Worst case you can try to do a system restore to the last working day. Not the best solution but one nonetheless.

Do you see both cards in the Device Manager (Display Adapters)? :
1)If yes - it's a software problem. You should uninstall the GPU drivers from the Device Manager (tick the box confirming driver software removal), reboot to safe mode, run CCleaner again, fix all, reboot and let Windows install the basic VGA drivers, reboot again and then install the drivers you're interested in. There might be a problem with the latest ATI drivers +5870, so research which driver works best in your case.
If you still can't install the drivers: format your HDD and do another fresh OS install + basic drivers (windows updates, chipset driver, ATI drivers) - this should help.

    2) No - try re-seating the cards/cables/connectors and call Dell if nothing else helps.

    Good Luck

i was having issues with this as well. after doing a shutdown and re-start, sometimes crossfire is disabled idk, why but just go into the Catylist Control Center, and click the box it will have some message at the bottom, ignore it and just press "ok" not apply. then check gpu-z
