So i read the thread about people installing the 11.4 preview....i installed over the top over the stock but looked at the drivers after...its doesnt update anything!!!!!.... i looked at the INF and saw this:
    "AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series" = ati2mtag_NICayman, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6718
    "AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series " = ati2mtag_NICayman, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6719

but the hardware id in device manager is DEV_6720......

unless someone has modded the INF, it wont install. i also downloaded the ati 11.2 from the site...same ID....looks like dell did somthing in the vbios.......does anyone have a modded INF for the 11.4's.....if i want to mod it myself, do i jsut need to add a line for my dev id? any help is great....

    change 6718 or 6719 to 6720, fixed.

changing it to 6720 will work. However, it still wont install the standard way, you have to install via the "have disk" method from the control panel.
