Ok, so I have a modded m17xr2, with a 7970m, an overclockable cpu, etc. I also just recently ordered a moded 330w psu to possibly do crossfire with it. Anyways, the extended warranty on my m17 expires in 2 months. So I got several options.

1-For sure ill sell my old 6990m purchased from Eurocom, it worked fine, so I guess its in working condition (i upgraded to my single 7970m). Any idea how much I cna get for it?

2-Now here is the tricky part. I can sell my original cards 2 5880's and xfire cable. Again, any idea how much I can get for them? Bare in mind, that if I get rid of these cards I wont be able to use warranty anymore on my lappy... but again I only have 2 months left and it snot possible to renew.

    OR

I can call dell and claim I am having issues with my lappy, in opes I get an upgrade to a newer refurb machine... but I admit I really love my m17xr2 (specally the rgb screen), but i feel that the upgradeability of it is almost done, and perhaps a newer model will have more options to further upgrade cards and such... of course this will also mean ill have to sell my 7970m... and my recently purchased 330w psu would have been a total waste.

    Any thoughts?

You should extend the warranty and keep the original parts. You won't get much for them, anyway. If something does go wrong with your M17x R2, and it has coverage, you'll probably get an Alienware 17 system replacement. At that point, you can sell the 7970M and whatever else you have.

I cant extend the warranty anymore.. this in an r2... last year, whne I extended, I was only given the option to extend for a single year and that it would be my last :(

I am also not too greedy, if I get $250 to $300 total (not the 7970 of course) for all 3 of those cards, I would be happy.

You could sell the computer altogether with the working 6990 for a good price, then save some $$ and get one of the new platforms.

yeah, thats another option.. but isnt 2 7990m's about the same as a single 880m?

In that case, I agree with Luis. Sell the thing.
