My m17x is now 4 times repaired.
There is a sort of war with the technical support they won't change my system and want to repair it again.
I told them after three repairs they must change it.
Tech told me to show where its writin in dell's policy, if i can show that he will replace it.
Sorry for my english, i'm from Belgium.
Can somebody send me, so i can prove it to them please?
    grtz

In the US it's called the "Lemon Law". On the fourth time if the same issue is not repaired, they have to give you a new one. I'm not an expert on law, so there may be more to it.

Maybe the lemon law is only for the US and not for Europe?

Might want to try asking to talk to a resolution specialist? From what I read they will help you more then tech. support. And since your computer has been repaired 4 times already, I would just talk to them and have them be the one to handle interaction with the tech. support people.

And as for the lemon law for the U.S., I'm positive I heard/read somewhere the EU has their own version of it as well.

A replacement will probably be a refurbished unit so you are just trading your problem for someone elses. 4 times is a lot. What is your repair issue they have tried to fix 4 times? Start keeping accurate notes in case you have to talk to someone higher up.

I'm not sure if it helps but i just sended a email to Michael Dell to.
Now they don't understand how the engineer get it fixed to replace the GTX260 with a quadro fx3700, support says it's not possible, because this gpu is not made for the m17x.
Today i called six times to dell but can't go higher then the support, even not the supervisor.

You did not really describe what the problems were with your M17X. The first version of this PC had many issues most of them somewhat resolved... At least enough for the PC to function.

You need to have your video card replaced to a 4870... I would recommend you also have your motherboard replaced just in case.

They should have no issue doing that.
