    help to figure which m17 I have

    I bought it off of ebay and is a Q9300 my screen is 1920 x 1200 and has a duo core 2.53 ghz when I pull up the service tag all it says is m17x it was shipped on april of this year to the person I bought it off of and I would like to know is it a m17x or m17x r1 or r2 is there an easy way to find out I am new to Alienware an I will not buy another computer if this one stays like it has so far thanks for any help ....signed old man that feels like a kid at christmas

    if it has a q9300 wich is a core 2 quad thus you have a r1

    Ahuhs yups its an M17x R1. Good processor for the R1 as well.

    thanks I am very pleased with it as I have wanted a alienware since back in the 90's when I found out about them so I traded a wife for it hahaha I got the better end of the deal
