    hey guys, having a problem with the keyboard backlit

    I'v opened the computer in order to clean the vents inside (it was dusty)
    now i put evrything back together and the led's of the keybord dosnt work properly only one part is turning on but also on 2 colors only, tried to assembled it again and it dosent solve the problem ... any suggestion on what could have coused this , maybe i didnt put the lutch properly ?
    thanks to the hero who will save me from buyin a new keyboard...
    by the way i'm having the regular M17x...

    Its the cables, They aren't put in all the way. I had this issue redid the cables making sure that they where all the way in and latched in properly. You just gotta really push them down and make sure that they click in. Because when you goto put the keyboard back in it can tug on the cables. Speaking of which I had to clean out my left GPU fan and I have to redo my Keyboards cables as well.

    thanks for the quick answer buddy, do you know by any chance which one is responsible for the backlit ? couz its really look like i'v put them in , dunno.
    anyhow i gonna re do this now.

    now it dosnt work at all , hehe...
    its the small one if you wonderd... anyhow i think iv bent it so maybe becouse of
    this it stoped working, any suggestions ? tried to wrap with some aluminium foil
    didnt do nothing... hehe desperate time call for desperate measures

    Sounds like a issue you get with Headphones after use over time. Where the wires are bent so many times it Cracks. So the sound on one speaker or both would not work.

    What you could try to see if this is the issue. have the computer on and bend the wire and see if the light comes on.

    keyboard cables are very fragile. Always use care when re-seating them. They can easily be bent and rendered useless. :(

    Have you tried creating a new theme?
    Also try a full power drain

    are u sure nothing can be done to fix it ? maybe cutting and attaching somehow ? lol even i dont belive my self hehe

    Ya tech broke my keyboard lol. One suggestion is Order a new keyboard from Alienware/Dell.

    BAHH, talking about buying a new one makes me sick hehe.. 100$ for ledd's
    will wait sometime, the computer works great now after the clean up it was worth it all in all ...
