There is no mod needed to install a second card. You just have to buy a second card which is a 'slave' probably from ebay, or you can even try to find it here on after market and the crosfirex cable.

Search on youtube on how to install / replace a GPU for m17x R2 and you will find 2 videos about how to replace parts on your system. The videos are directly from Dell, explaining each item how to be removed in order to replace / add a second card + joining them with a crosfirex cable.

Once you have installed the second card and the cable (you have to search also for the part number on the slave card, to make sure you are buying the right card. or call dell, if they have it they will ship the card along with the cable as well), after you install the operating system and drivers for the graphic cards you should be able to see in the control centre of ATi driver the option of crosfirex cards (dual cards).

    Best of luck!

GPU's are a expensive upgrade aftermarket. Rather search for a nice R2/R3 with dual cards or powerfull single card. FHD screen is a must.

No, what he said made sense., you probably thought he meant R3 because he didnt add a 2nd / mark.
