I got a replacement r3 sent to me, it has the 3d vision sticker on the bottom, but didn't come with glasses. how can I tell without having the glasses if it has the 3d vision panel? and calling alienware seems a little silly, since I don't think they know WHAT they sent me. it's missing some of what it was supposed to have, and seems to have things they didn't know it does. please help!! and thanks in advance.

thanks, it appears as though I thought right, I have 3dvision in the "new" laptop, I just need to convince alienware of this so they can maybe send me the glasses.

If you check your order email they sent you or your account order one or both should say 120hz\with 3D vision bundle. That means 1 set of Nvidia 3D glasses included. Took a little convincing I had to bring up a copy of the order on the screen while they remote viewed. Its a 100.00 item for the glasses and they do not like to give them away. Good luck. ;)

actually, since this is a refurb replacement, I never got an order email, just a brief summary of what was in the replacement. I'm not sure why they didn't treat it like an order, but they didn't. and this isn't the only thing they missed in the summary, I have the killer wifi card, too. pleasant as these surprises are, I either want glasses as it's supposed to have, or I want a non 3dvision computer so I can have my 7 hours of battery life back.

also, to anyone else who might be reading this to determine if theirs has it, you can see the 3d vision transmitter in the lower left of the screen bezel.

Correct, if you are under direct light, you can see a small infrared rectangle. It's funny when wearing the glasses, holding your hand inbetween to cut off the beam, your glasses cut out and sometimes react weird :p

I recieved my R3 a couple of weeks ago and mine didn't come with the glasses either. I had to call Dell Customer Care and explain to them that my order was incomplete. They sent me a new 3d kit a few days later, free of charge.
