hey guys a while ago i posted asking about help with my battery life on my m17 with a gtx580. i was getting like 1:40 mins. I used a cpu frequency tool to find out that my cpu was running at max frequency all the time. Magically one day (i honestly don't know what i did) i turned on the frequency monitor and saw that my cpu was dynamically changing its frequency and thus giving me much better battery life (like three hours). i did a clean windows install lately and found that i have the exact same problem again. ive tried every power option available that i know of (min processor state in settings...internal graphics on both max performance and max power savings...everything...) anyone know how to enable this feature again?

try to go into BIOS and check Intel speed step. If you have such option then enable it.
