    Hey guys,
I bought myself a FiiO usb DAC E10, now, the problem is, whenever i switch to windows during a game running on, or stop sound playback, or just have a skype inc message, it seems so that the device turns off - it makes a clicking noise in the headphones, which is extremely and amazingly irritating and annoying. Imagine having a crackle after each skype message... drives me crazy. I am aware that some of us, AW owners use external sound cards, so
has anyone faced the same problem and how did u guys solve it (if you did)?

    Thanks in advance

Edit: crackling sounds dont happen if I have, for example, a song running in background while switching to desktop from the game. so yeah, it's happening because after each sound playback the AW machine turns the device off.. i guess some sort of energy economy?

I had that in my M17x R1, sort of. After about five-six seconds of silence, the speakers would deactivate with an audible click. You don't really notice it unless you're wearing headphones, because then you here a pop/click, and there's no more background distortion.

Unfortunately I never did find a way to fix it. You're running the latest drivers, etc.? If you have the Creative software layer, maybe try update that as well.

thanks for the input. I mean.. I know for sure that there is some sort of a menu to disable this I just can't remember where it is, and yeah, headphones give me a hell of a trouble with that sound...
As about the drivers, yeah, they're good.

Id guess its either under sound or mouse properties in the control panel.

Check advanced power settings. Maybe it has to do with USB Selective suspending due to inactivity?
