    Hello,

I´m going to buy an alienware m17x in the next few days. In the netherlands (where I live) there was a 10% discount untill the 31th of august so I know they can afford a discount. I dont know how to begin bargaining the price of my notebook or how much I can bring it down. I cant find an email adres either.

    specs:

    2720QM
    HD6990M
    4gb mem (I place 8gb myself)
    320gb harddisk (place SSD myself)

    2004 eur ($ 2.856,70)

prolly best to call them, emails most of the time will lead to nothing. the key is to call multiple reps, call one and haggle with them, after you get a quote, call again to see if another rep is willing to beat that price to make the sell. do that untill you feel that you can't go any lower.

its not really about what can and cant be done, its about how you negotiate it... frankly, guys, if you're asking such things on forums then u probably won't reach success ^^
all you have to do is to find a way to connect with a representative so that he gave you a discount... and you have to be aware that most of them will not give you any, as their pay depends on it.

No chance tried it a couple of days ago. Rep. can give you 5% That 10% deal is over and cant be applied.

Your config is missing the FHD screen the rest is ok. Just wait for another deal and contact a rep. for 15%-20% off.

    I'm waiting....hopefully not to long.

wanna know what always works? if you call back and start bragging about canceling your order... then they give you what they really can. IF they can
