Hey guys, has anyone by any chance made the respin perior option work on the m17x r4? kinda getting tired of dealing with the rpm's going up and down within a couple of seconds. and speedfan only lets me choose between 3 speeds unlike hwinfo.

btw if anyone knows how to make the gpu fan spin on its own when a non supported GPU is installed (zotac 1070) if not ill see if I can bridge the cpu fan pwm cable to the gpu .The GPU temps are read by every monitoring program then why not by the oem fan control? Thanks again!

I used to have a HWInfo setup from ebay seller of R4 1070 system with Fan1 and Fan2 on different sliders. Kind of weird where the settings were 2400 or 5000 rpm with no in-between.

However I lost the OS as part of my USB debug. I tried the newest 5.9 ver and kind of liked how there are more RPM steppings to tweak but then HWInfo just locks randomly and leaves RPM at last commanded setting. (sucks since need to set manual 100% for Oculus session)

BTW the respin has worked for me. I had it set to 1000ms then switched to 2000ms. I tried to re-install 5.8 but the formatting seems to match the 5.9 ver where fan 1&2 not broken out.

What is strange is that 5.8 did not prompt me to ignore the EC sensor which I think is necessary.

Can someone share the needed tweaks/settings for HWInfo to be functional on M17x R4 in Win10?

well you can manually setup the temps you want your fans to kick in, you have like 6 options for different temps vs rpms and it does do it automatically but it spins both fans at the same speed always no matter if only the gpu is heating up or the other way around. its called "Custom Auto" and the to go back to manual you hit first "System Auto" and then "Manual"

Cheers, hope i can someday find a fan program with respin period working and independant fans.
