    i've received my alienware m17x r3

    hey guys

    yep i've just received my alienware m17x r3
    2820xm
    6990 g.card
    8gb ram
    raid0
    after unboxing and when i put my hands on alienware i heared some noise inside it ... like small screw wasn't sure so i decided open the case :(

    after opening the case BANG nothing found :confused: and then i close the case and then i turn it on doin some tests was all good

    idle heats : 45's~50's c

    playin game maximum setting : 76c

    fps on civilization v :58~60fps

    after that i've test switch graphic card was all good , also sleeping mode

    so it was in perfect condition ! :)

    but when i turn it off and shake it abit that stupid noise back ! haha

    i'm not gonna open case again :eek:

    It might be a broken piece of plastic. If it were me, I would send it back for a replacement. Yea it sucks but you shouldn't have pieces broken off inside :(

    If you're paying that much money for a laptop (especially a new one), I wouldn't accept anything less than near perfect. I'd call and ask about a replacement.

    Personal preference. You are basically paying for a cheap car with these things :)

    For some people this is savings over a year to afford one. I would NOT tolerate anything other than perfect :)

    i would ship it back if i'm US-citizen but i cant because i live over oceans lol shippin this item cost me $190

    anyways


    after downloading some games i test ( BRINK )

    with maximum setting FPS gave me around 13~20fps :confused: i haven't done any updates yet except window

    is there any graphic card updates recommended ?

    Just make sure you dont press Fn F7 too much and forget.
