    i5 520m max 1066 memory?

    I just read this on Intel's website that the memory type supported is:

    DDR3-800/1066

    Does this mean that if I put in 1333 memory, it won't be fully used and basically wasted? :confused:

    even if the FSB runs at 1066, the 1333 memory will have faster SPD timings than the 1066 memory.

    Better memory should also be more stable when over clocking

    Gotcha, so basically the i5 doesn't support 1333 memory. Only the i7s + do. Correct?

    You can try OC the cpu with SetFSB it will raise the memory I got my 720 upto 1.84/3.12 and my memory clock speed went upto 1775mhz
