    Can this be done?

And before the normal crowd of smart ***'s come along squealing about search.

    Could not find phrase 'invalid_search_query'.

This is all that pops up in both standard and advanced search.

Yes it can be done. I plan to go that route after I upgrade my GPU

Not withstanding socket compatibility or BIOS locking (oh, Dell, why?), it should work. Just be careful when modding the BIOS.

Yes I know a few people with 2920XM ES. I've seen 0 issues with Intel QS/ES chips, they're that good.

The 2920xm works fine in the R3, except that it's a challenge for the dinky little CPU heatsink when overclocked. Once you get all 4/8 cores operating above 4GHz, heat becomes a concern for most people in the absence of auxiliary cooling. IC Diamond paste is almost a necessity if you're going to push the capabilities of the 2920xm.

and just to add to this...be ready for monthly repastes if the cpu is overclocked and pushed heavily all the time
