    Hllo Guys , iim going to change my M17x R3 +1200 Dolares for a m17x R2 and wiith those 1200 want to buy new parts liike the

    CPU: Installed: i7-920XM ES
    V.Card: Sli 580M or 6990M CF or 7970m CF....
    8GB 1600Mhz
    and get a new PSU of 330WATS what do you thiink?

    iiis a good deal ? or i askk for more money to the deal iif like 1300 or maybe 1400 of diiference and my laptop for M17x R2 oh and the Bluray diisco.. need to recalibrate because somethingis wrong with it the laser is working but i needto recalibrated... so what do you think?

    Not really, you could probably move to a M17x R4 with 680m for the same cost, and the 680m is better than SLI 580m. Not to mention the R4 is lighter, would be covered with warranty, and has newer faster and better components.

    The M17x R2 was great and all, but it is old and not getting any newer. I agree you're better off investing in a new R4 or if you really want to future proof and spend the money get a M18x R2.

    Not to mention the 920xm is a first Gen instead of a current Gen ivy bridge.

    You could sell your R3 for $1200 easily, + or - a few hundred depending on the condition and the buyer. You'd have to come up with the rest yourself.
